Director of Strategy
David was born in Berkeley but grew up in the snowy, sinful mountains of Park City, Utah. A self-described amateur historian masquerading as a strategist, he has worked at some great shops including Publicis, Venables Bell & Partners, TBWA\Media Arts Lab, and Droga5. His client experience spans a host of A-list brands including Apple, Audi, T-Mobile, HTC, Motorola, Google, Toyota, Mondelez and American Express.
Now, after a year of freelancing with Wieden+Kennedy and Facebook, he joins MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER as Director of Strategy.
David believes brands should skip the vapid mission statements and instead focus on defining their purpose – that shared moral conviction we’d all be happy and willing to fail trying. “Purpose,” he says, “is the good fight. It is the joyful work.”
When he’s not in the city, you’ll most likely find him at the Lafayette Whole Foods shopping for his wife, daughter and slightly obnoxious dog named Buddha.
