Edward de Leon
Edward was born on an Air Force base in the Philippines, raised in Arkansas during the Clinton Era, and moved to San Francisco after earning his BFA from the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. Surrounded by a military environment in the Deep South, his love and interest for everything art stuck out.
Calligraphy is a passionate hobby of Edward’s. He was trained by the graphic designer Claude Dieterich and is a member of the San Francisco guild, Friends of Calligraphy, as well as the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH).
When he isn’t rasterizing vectors, Edward is found at his 19th century secretary desk practicing pretty majuscules and minuscules.
