In late 2015, an account emerged on Twitter that rated cute dogs, We Rate Dogs. We Rate Dogs came under some scrutiny in late 2016 from a concerned citizen of Twitter, @Brant. Brant was not pleased with the rating system and urged the account to change their name to “Cute Dogs.”
In a move that is growing in popularity for Twitter users and brands alike, We Rate Dogs opted to stand up to a contrarian’s voice. We Rate Dogs quickly shut down the criticism with a simple statement that has now become a meme: They’re good dogs, Brent.
