Picture it: San Francisco, 2009. An agency began to take shape. An idea, a dream, a hard-to-spell name, and a merry band of starter-uppers.
They sought refuge in sunny Potrero Hill, squatting in the offices of kindly Bassett & Partners. Within a week, our heroes had outgrown their benefactors’ digs, and moved in to their own loft in the same building, shunning the San Francisco Ad Ghetto status quo for Farley’s, extra steep hills, and terrible cell service pulled from the sky using duct tape, bailing wire, and coat hangers.
When the gang moved on to Front St., they got a water cooler. They probably already had a water cooler. I don’t know, I wasn’t there, but any excuse to use this .gif.
Cut to present day with a blurry dissolve edit. Open on 220 Sansome St. We still don’t have flying cars but weasels fly through the air riding woodpeckers like it’s nothing. It’s a magical time to be alive and MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER is continuing its growth, quickly on its way towards 75 people. That’s not even counting Buddy, Official Canine Mascot and Head of Security, since he gets paid in Instagram likes and treats. One Big Table has grown to four floors (coming April 2015).
Some context: we’ve hired more new employees in the first two months of 2015 than we did all last year.
And we’re not done. We’re looking for:
Designers, Copywriters, Art Directors, Account Managers, Strategists, Community Managers, Production Artists, and Creative Technologists.
Watch this space for big things in 2015 and Beyond! (Bed and Bath still in beta.)
