The tag logo works well visually because it’s bound by a field of solid color and can be placed almost anywhere and stay legible. (As opposed to, say, the Nike Swoosh, which can get lost on contrasty background). It works conceptually as a tag because it’s a commentary on the partner brand.

A tag by its nature is meant to educate the viewer about the qualities of the entity it’s attached to.
