Trump / Clinton Debate Expected to Hit Huge Ratings

The first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is tonight. The event is expected to shatter records with some predicting the debate will pull in over 100 million viewers. That would make it the most-watched debate in history.

For context, the 2016 Super Bowl between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos reported just under 112 million viewers

The debate takes place during a contentious, polarized time in America. Depending on the source, the polls are pretty close to even. Some, like Nate Silver’s, FiveThirtyEight give Clinton a slight lead while others like Bloomberg give Trump a slight advantage.

They’ll be debating from Hofstra University in NY and the host will be NBC’s Lester Holt.

Tune in live at 6pm PST / 9pm EST. You can watch on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, C-SPAN, and all major cable news channels. The event can also be streamed on YouTube, BuzzFeed, Twitter and a joint stream from ABC News and Facebook.
