Ijah started his storytelling career in elementary school when he had to explain that he was the new kid because of a massive lava flow. After teaching himself drawing to salvage memories of his old home, an ancient VHS camcorder sent him into the world of filmmaking. When he discovered Liquid Television, these interests collided and drove him into animation with a focus on stop motion.
He's developed his craft over the years by shooting, editing, and animating for commercial and independent film. He also loves working with teams and has taught animation classes for Oakland high schoolers.
His live storytelling reached a pinnacle when he won a Moth StorySlam but don't ask him about it. The stage is not his home.
He now lives comfortably behind the scenes telling stories with pictures that move at MUH-TAY-ZIK / HOF-FER.
