Matt grew up in Michigan where he was taught the basics in life such as tossing an octopus onto the ice of a Red Wings game and the perfect angle to hold a ripe cattail against the spinning tire of a BMX bike. He learned he was creative at a young age while making snowboarding highlight reels and short films under the tutelage of his commercial producer Dad. He pursued many avenues of creativity before going to The Creative Circus to perfect his art direction skills and eye for a well-crafted billboard.

Speaking of billboards, his career highlight so far has to be photoshopping himself into a billboard ad for a dry cleaning company as a pro-bono project to help bring traffic to minority owned businesses in the Seattle area at the start of the pandemic.

Prior to joining M/H Matt worked on brands such as HOKA One One, Alaska Airlines, Weber Grills, DripDrop and Papa Murphy’s Pizza.

When not working, Matt enjoys the simple pleasures of bikepacking far away from the city, wandering the streets with his camera and flipping through dusty record bins. He also paints designs on thrifted jackets and sells them on the side.
