Netflix - One Billion

The early adopters had already adopted. The mass market needed convincing that the Web-based movie provider was the reliable, safe way to rent movies and experience cinema. We asked Netflix how many movies they had delivered. After checking, they realized they were about to pass a rather significant milestone.

In order to sell cinema, we did the first cinematic spot for Netflix. “One Billion” accelerated growth, becoming the entire PR campaign resulting in media coverage on the day the billionth movie was delivered. Netflix ditched two subsequent campaigns to keep running this spot three years later.
